Readiness for kindergarten starts with confidence.

Preschool age is when our littlest people start to grow and become their own. Our Frog Street Curriculum is the foundation for all of our core learning in our Pre-K Program. We also incorporate themes so our students can explore and build on various concepts of the world around them. Our Curriculum is a comprehensive, research-based program that integrates instruction across developmental domains and early learning disciplines. This curriculum is developed to include a deep understanding of young children’s intricate social/emotional, physical, and cognitive developmental needs. Our Frog Street curriculum particularly emphasizes social and emotional development using Conscious Discipline, a comprehensive classroom management and social-emotional component that creates a learning environment where children feel safe and loved.

Our curriculum blends playful learning with STEAM—Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math—while nurturing the 4C skills: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity.

Our Pre-K class has an individualized “Daily Schedule” that includes Frog Street’s overall curriculum plan and allows time for the following essential components that make up our day.
These Include:

  • Large and Small Group Activities during core lessons
  • Story Time
  • Outdoor Play times
  • Free-choice sessions in the classroom’s various “Interest Areas”.

Our effective early literacy program contains age-appropriate instructional materials and activities that support growth in the following areas:

  • Oral Language – Vocabulary growth, spoken language development, and auditory comprehension skills.
  • Phonological Awareness – Awareness of words in sentences, syllables in words, rhyming, blending, and segmenting.
  • Print Knowledge – Knowledge of the alphabet and letters and their shapes, letters, and sounds.

Frog Street provides purposeful, engaging math investigations, including:

Our curriculum is designed to address the full spectrum of early childhood development, including social, emotional, intellectual, language, and physical growth. It is designed to support the growth of the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for early literacy attainments and ensure that students are kindergarten-ready!
